“I AM BEAUTIFUL, I AM LOVED, I AM FORGIVEN, BY THE MERCY OF GOD……..
The phrase written above was actually a song taught to us by Father Jerry Juarez, our facilitator during our retreat at Kamay ni Jesus. The activity was participated by all M.Lhuillier employees from South Eastern Luzon Region. The employees were divided into three retreat batches so as not to hamper business operations. Scheduled dates were June 16, 27 and July 04, 2008. From the lines of the song stated above, we would realize that God did not create ugly things, therefore we are all beautiful, we are all loved and forgiven by the mercy of God.
Kamay ni Hesus has now become a perfect place for this kind of activity because of its solemnity, peacefulness and serenity. It was a three-day activity where employees from different branches came together to realize and recall all the good and bad things being done in their lives. The activity gave us the chance to think about our experiences with regard to our work, environment, family affairs and others. More so on how are we were going to improve and correct our mistakes of the past.
It was also a chance to meet co-employees and getting to know them.
The activity made us realize the blessings of God – of how lucky we were to have blessings from Him. We must be thankful for life? blessings – our Family, our friends, our work, our good employer. Father Jerry taught us the wordCONTENTMENT on the blessings from God. Without contentment comes the possibility to commit sins. This retreat made us realize the value of everything we have right now, it made our faith stronger. If we have strong faith in Him, we believe that everything will work out right for the highest good of all concerned. We should realize that our opinion and the way we want things to work out may not actually follow sometimes. We must do our share and God knows what is best for us. Everything happens for a reason and we must put God at the center of our lives amidst our suffering and trials.
Having faith also meant setting aside our personal Shoulds, Musts, Likes and even Dislikes. Rather, we must move into the flow of what is actually happening. This retreat made us realize the value of what we have right now. It also enlightened our minds to nourish the blessings of God and work according to his will.
